Officers and Civilian Work Together to Save Elderly Woman Pinned under Car

On 01/19/2022, New Castle County Police Officers responded to the community of Country Creek for a single vehicle crash with an elderly female trapped underneath a vehicle. Officers arrived on scene and discovered the victim pinned under an Suv. Officers, along with a civilian (Kyle Stant) attempted to use a car jack to lift the car and free the free the victim. The jack would not lift the vehicle high enough, so the officers worked together and ultimately use their combined physical strength to lift the vehicle which allowed them to lift the vehicle high enough to free the trapped victim and awaited ALS for transport. The victim ultimately survived this tragic incident.
